UP DATE: 2

I wont be posting any images as you've see enough on the new.

Ok I thought I'd pop in to give you an up date Tuesday, Kangaroo Ground, Warrandyte, Waarandyte North, Reasearch and Eltham had been put on alert right up until yesterday, that just means to be vigilant, and be aware of what's going on around us, well let me just say that was frighting in its self, and to here fire trucks alarms going off, airplanes, helicopters/elvis flying close to tree tops over head, is scary, and makes you think how bloody close is it, but everything here to date is fine, and they have said the whole of Victoria should be alert.

I must say waking up this morning to walk out side to take my girls to school, the smell of smoke that drenches the air we breath, and the smell of our clothes after taking them off the clothes line that smells of smoke, is huge reminder of the devastation that's all around us, not just to mention that is close to it all, but for the whole of Melbourne Victoria, there is now 1069 properties lost 5000 people homeless with 181 beautiful Australians died in the fires, that saddens me greatly, I still haven't heard today from my family in Healesville, I know my father ( which was scary to know he went up there in the first place) to help my Auntie as she was trying to put out embers that came falling onto and around her house, they have been in and out of danger for the last few days, then theirs my cousin, husband and two children there as well, the fire came as close as about 10 house away, but they seem to be ok, but my cousin's husband's parents are now saying with them as they lost everything in the blaze. Please Be safe up there!

Now to a more happier note raised money to date is around 45 million dollars for the fire appeal, which is amazing and I believe is still climbing, I also have had more thing s arriving in the post thank-you so much for your support, a list of more items

Hi Kirstie, it is good of you to collect things for the bushfire victims. Our Primary Scool is also helping out.
